Shree Jagannatha Society UK Ends Association with Finnest Group

Shree Jagannatha Society UK (SJSUK), a registered charity in the UK, was founded to make London the epicentre of Jagannatha Culture in Europe by building a grand Jagannatha Temple by 2024.

In January 2023, Finnest Group pledged £25 million (approx. Rs. 250 Crores) for the construction of the Shree Jagannatha Mandir London. Despite a public announcement in May 2023 and repeated commitments, made in media interactions and in private, no funds towards temple construction have been received to date, and no land has been purchased, causing significant delays in terms of project inception.

To expedite the project, SJSUK has decided to part ways with Finnest Group with immediate effect. We request Finnest Group and its representatives to refrain from referencing SJSUK or the Shree Jagannatha Mandir London in any socio-cultural, media, political and public platform.

SJSUK remains dedicated to building the Shree Jagannatha Mandir London and invites generous donations from devotees. With Mahaprabhu Jagannatha’s blessings, we are confident our dream will soon be a reality.
